Arif was raised in Bangladesh and has enjoyed a 21-year career cooking at exclusive resorts from the Seychelles to Zanzibar Island and the Maldives

Arif loves island life (his hobbies include fishing) and he excels in delighting guests with dishes from the cuisines of many different cultures. The food that comes from Arif’s kitchen is never boring, and no two nights are the same as he fuses classic American cuisine with Indian, Italian, Japanese and Chinese flavors.

‘I like to accommodate the individual preferences of our guests,’ he explains. ‘With just a little advance notice, we can source pretty much any ingredient, which we combine with fresh produce from our own gardens.

Arif is a keen gardener and is currently overseeing the development of a new greenhouse on the estate.
